Christopher Peter Meloni is an American actor and is famous for his roles in popular television show 'Law and Order Special Victims Unit. His interest in acting began during his college years. He studied acting at University of Colorado at Boulder. Although he's been active on film and television however it is his roles on the small screen that earned him a cult admirers. The actor is able to play characters from both the good and bad sides in the law enforcement system. He is able draw the attention of viewers easily. He was the character of the serial killer on his first television project and later played the role an NYPD detective. He has been nominated multiple times for the highly coveted Emmy Awards and the PRISM Awards for his tiny screen performance. The piercingly blue eyes of his eyes are thought as the most captivating aspect of his appearance. These have been used to depict rough characters and make them more appealing. He was featured in 2006 when he was included in People's publication's Sexiest Men Alive list.
